The Federal Technical and Vocational Training Institute (FTVTI) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA).

The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Biruk Kedir, Director General of FTVTI, and Mr. Tewodros Zewdie, Executive Director of EHPEA.

This strategic partnership represents a major step forward in enhancing workforce skills in horticulture and export industries, creating internship opportunities for students within EHPEA member farms, promoting sustainable practices across Ethiopia’s horticulture sector and boosting global competitiveness in flowers, fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

By bridging the gap between vocational training and industry needs, this collaboration ensures that graduates are equipped with the practical expertise required to drive Ethiopia’s horticulture sector toward a more sustainable and globally competitive future.
