The profession plays a vital role in the establishment and sustainable operation of a nation’s manufacturing industries, power generation and mining industries, academic Institutions, Technology transfer, TVET colleges, and Production management. The work of Manufacturing Technologists varies by industry and function. A large number of manufacturing technologists work in the installation and commissioning of industrial plants, production operations, maintenance, technical sales, etc.; few are engaged in research, testing, and design work.
