Automotive technology is the practical application of knowledge about self-propelled vehicles or machines. Students studying automotive technology learn about engine construction, fuel and ignition systems, power trains, brakes, transmissions, electronic and diagnostic equipment, and more. It is one of the largest, broadest, and emerging Technology disciplines. Automotive Technologists apply energy principles, materials utilization, and mechanisms of operations such as diagnosis, dissembling, inspection, taking remedial action, and assembling of systems/subsystems for all types of vehicles. The ability to exercise one profession (knowledge, skill, and attitude) depends on factors like the level of study, the experience gained in practicing the profession, personal effort in updating of profession, and training taken, etc. The tasks that professional Automotive Technology graduates undertake are too many.
